Exploring Math Concepts through Inquiry

As part of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education’s Child Study in Education MA math course, second-year teacher candidates developed expertise in an area of mathematics that was of interest to them. They presented their work at a “mini conference” where practicing teachers and principals had the opportunity to learn about the work they were conducting. The assignment was also an opportunity to authentically contribute to mathematics education.
