This conference aims to foster dialogue on the integration of Indigenous knowledge and perspectives in education, emphasizing Indigenous priorities that include land-based education, the use of digital technologies, and the broader themes of Indigenous resurgence, reconciliation, and Indigenization.
In this session, Wesley will highlight the important role science communication plays in bringing Indigenous science into university spaces. He will share the journey of Stoodis Science in bringing traditional science through hide tanning and snowshoe making to TMU, while discussing approaches to bringing Indigenous science to both Indigenous community members and the general public.
