Embodying Regenerative Hope
This HYBRID professional development series responds to the pressing need for teachers to be supported in how they are cultivating wellness for themselves, their students and their shared environments. Over the course of 8 weeks, teachers will be welcomed into a participatory, embodied and arts -based learning experience to engage at the intersection of social justice, mental health, socio-emotional learning, community-building, and environmental sustainability. This series acknowledges that ‘care for self, one another and our Earth’ must be grown from the relational culture of each classroom, and demonstrate efficacy across a diversity of emerging needs, identities, capacities and desires. Offering both a model and experience for broaching wellbeing, peace and resilience, this series will provide an adaptable, responsive and hands-on space for teachers to develop practices of holistic care to bring to their learning communities.
