Sarah Kett

Biography

Sarah is a an M.Ed student in the CSTD program at OISE specialising in Digital Technologies and Education. Sarah’s undergraduate work was at Ryerson University where she received a Bachelor in Journalism as a broadcast major and at University of Wales in their Postgraduate Certificate in Education program.
Sarah taught in elementary schools in Asia and the United Kingdom for seven years before returning to Toronto where she joined the digital learning team at Teach Away in 2014. Over the last four years, Sarah has designed and developed a variety of online courses for both private and public consumption, and now focuses solely on teacher training and teacher professional development. Sarah experiments with various learning experience design methodologies, presentation and delivery methods, and rapid development software.

Sarah’s major interests lie in applying 21st century literacy frameworks to classroom and online teaching and learning, online and blended learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, and anti-oppressive education.
