Biography

Preeti is an accomplished professional with years of global technology consulting and teaching experience, gained from working in North America, Germany, Hong Kong and India. A passionate advocate for the importance of Critical thinking, Math and Technology education in driving innovation, Preeti has created many immersive programs for students and educators to advance their problem-solving skills. A proactive relationship and alliance builder, with strong people development focus, Preeti is consistently recognized for exceptional leadership and dedication. She is the past chair of the IEEE Women in Engineering group and an invited speaker at events and part of many Conference Organizing Committees.

In her current role as a researcher at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto, Preeti is exploring the role of emotions in online learning environments. She is part of the Pepper Project group and contributes to the advancement of Pepper, a knowledge building tool that support s both online and face-to-face learning communities. She has peer reviewed multiple papers, facilitated in class student discussions and debates and supervised student examinations and graded work submissions.
