Jennifer Danquah, a PhD scholar in Adult Education at the University of Würzburg, will begin by providing an overview of the adult education system in Germany. She will then share initial findings from her research, which explores the entanglement of German state-funded organizations like the Volkshochschule (Adult Education Center) in power dynamics which can lead to racism, while examining how strategies against racism are implemented within these organizations.

Jennifer Danquah is a PhD scholar at the Professorship of Adult and Continuing Education, University of Würzburg, Germany. She is researching how strategies against racism manifest in adult education organizations, specifically in the German Volkshochschule (Adult Education Centre). This work aligns with her interest in designing and implementing more just learning environments in adult education.
