Bruce Russell

Bruce Russell is a PhD candidate at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto. His research interests include the predictive relationship of language test scores and academic performance and the effectiveness of language support programs for non-English background students. He has published in journals such as Frontiers in Education and co-authored articles that have appeared in IELTS Research Reports and System: An International Journal of Educational Technology and Applied Linguistics. Bruce has also presented on research related to equity, diversity and inclusion in English for academic purposes curricula at the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. Bruce is director (academic) of International Programs at New College, University of Toronto where he oversees a pathway program for non-English background international students and a summer enrichment program for approximately 1000 international students.
