This is the editorial to a special issue of the journal, on the papers presented at a gathering of Indigenous academics from Canada and New Zealand. The theme of the gathering was developing, expanding and sharing Indigenous knowledge and education, from primary to graduate school.
The gathering was based on mutual respect, sharing and a willingness to listen and learn from each other. These values create beneficial and meaningful relationships.
Developing Indigenous curriculum and sharing Indigenous knowledge at academic conferences can create new opportunities for positive changes in the communities.
