About the speakers

Henrjeta Mece

Henrjeta Mece is an artist, curator, and scholar. She is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream in Social Justice Education, OISE, University of Toronto. Mece's work draws on a variety of artistic and research practices and methodologies. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at venues including, Zweigstelle Berlin, MOCA (TO), and ISCP.

Ana Barajas

Ana Barajas is the Director of YYZ Artists' Outlet and has organized over 100 exhibitions. With expertise in sculpture, installation, and modern art history, she is a prominent voice in contemporary curating.

Lisa Steele

Lisa Steele is a video, photography, and performance artist whose work has been exhibited internationally. She co-founded V tape, a national distribution service for independent video and established the Graduate Program in Visual Studies at U of T.
