Dr. Philip Semple

Dr. Semple is a full time Professor in the Emergency Management and Public Safety Institute at Centennial College, Toronto. This followed a 31-year career as an officer with the Toronto Police Service. His PhD thesis exemplified his dedication researching implicit bias in police recruits and their instructors at the RCMP. Dr. Semple is now engaged in integrating implicit bias awareness and mitigation training into the Police Foundations curriculum at Centennial College as well as training and lecturing on the subject.
