Dr. Laura Capacchione

My name is Laura Capacchione. I completed my degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, Graduate Department of Leadership, Higher and Adult Education in 2019. I am a professor at George Brown College in the School of Dental Health. I have been a dental hygienist for 22 years and have worked as an educator in the profession for 18 years. As an educator, I have gained experience in teaching a wide range of courses within the theoretical, clinical, and laboratory curriculum. I have also had the experience of participating as a course writer for the Honours Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene Program application for Ministerial consent, which was approved for George Brown College, commencing in May 2023. In this degree program I will be teaching instructional design and leadership theories in relation to the dental hygiene profession.
