Bill Boyes is the Fire Chief and Commissioner of Community Services for the City of Brampton. Chief Boyes is responsible for leading nearly 3200 staff across a number of departments including, fire and emergency services, recreation, parks, cultural services, community safety and well-being and 311. In 2021, Chief Boyes was named the Fire Chief of the Year in Canada. He completed his PhD in 2023 at the University of Toronto (OISE), which supplements his master’s degree in public policy and administration and bachelor’s degree in public management. Bill’s loves spending time his wife Tania, daughter Elle and son Jack and in his spare time, enjoys hockey and golf.
