Announcing Dr. Feng Ji, OISE’s new faculty appointment

Dr. Feng Ji received a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022 with previous training and degrees in psychology and education.

Dear OISE Community, 

I am delighted to share the news of a new faculty appointment resulting from our 2021-22 search in Statistics and Machine Learning Application in Education

Dr. Feng Ji began a tenure stream appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Psychology and Human Development. Dr. Ji received a PhD in Biostatistics from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022 with previous training and degrees in psychology and education. Dr. Ji has extensive expertise in applying, evaluating, and developing quantitative and statistical methods in behavioral and social sciences research. His peer-reviewed articles have appeared in leading methodology journals such as PsychometrikaPsychological Methods, and Multivariate Behavioral Research, as well as substantive research journals such as Child Development and Applied Linguistics. Dr. Ji’s academic expertise is complemented by considerable industry experience: at Google as a full-time Ph.D. data scientist; at ACTNext of ACT as a doctoral research intern for the Advanced Psychometric Team.
