OISE Tier 2 Canada Research Chair (CRC) Special Call
Dear OISE faculty:
I am writing to announce a call for an OISE Tier 2 CRC nominee for nomination to CRC in fall 2024. Tier 2 Chairs are for exceptional emerging researchers, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field. Applicants must be full-time tenure-stream Assistant or Associate Professors at OISE. The nominee’s research area must align with the subject matter eligibility of Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).
This special call is limited to OISE faculty members who are members of visible minorities and/or Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Inuk, and Métis), as defined by the Employment Equity Act. The identification of outstanding candidates from these designated groups supports the University’s institutional capacity to fulfill the objectives of the University’s Canada Research Chairs Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan.
The nominee will be chosen from among eligible OISE applicants by an internal selection committee chaired by Acting Associate Dean, Research, International & Innovation Michal Perlman and comprised of OISE faculty members from across OISE’s four departments.
The OISE Special Call is now posted on the University’s CRC Opportunities website. The deadline for applications is March 18, 2024. Please read the posting carefully for the full details regarding this opportunity. We invite all OISE faculty members who are potentially eligible for this CRC nomination to review the opportunity and consider applying. For questions, please contact oise.research@utoronto.ca.
Thank you,
