Deans Community Update - August 04, 2020

Date:

Dear OISE Community,

I am writing with a very brief update on a few items related to OISE activities and operations at this time.

OISE Building Access

In the last few days, following the announcement of the City of Toronto moving to stage 3 of reopening, we received a few requests from community members for access to the OISE building. I want to remind everyone that working and learning from home continues to be the default. Any use of the OISE building now and into the fall term will continue to be highly restricted and we do not anticipate any change to this approach for the foreseeable future.

OISE Research Recovery and Adaptation

The OISE Research Office recently shared the OISE Plan for Research Recovery and Adaptation with faculty researchers, postdoctoral fellows, and students in the community. Students are encouraged to reach out to their faculty supervisor to discuss their research activities especially in light of the OISE plans. Also, Graduate Students, Postdoctoral Fellows and their Faculty Supervisors may wish to review the information from SGS on Research Engagement/Re-engagement Planning.

I hope everyone enjoyed a nice long weekend and that you will continue to find this summer season a restful time.

Take care,

Glen A. Jones, Ph.D.
